Crossmint’s embedded wallets are smart-contract wallets placed inside an app. Docs say you address them with an email, phone, or user id. Signers can be a device, a passkey, or an email one-time code. Recovery methods are described as enforced onchain rather than only in a vendor enclave.

The authentication product creates a wallet for someone who does not have one. Documented methods include email magic links and Gmail SSO, SMS, social accounts including X and Farcaster, external wallets, and bringing your own auth. Branding can be removed. There is also a headless API.

Crossmint sells more than login. Card onramps, checkout, and company treasury wallets are separate products. Fiat flows can involve identity checks. This site does not list Crossmint as a KYC vendor. Didit is the only identity profile at launch. A capture of Crossmint here is the wallet login, not the card form.

Who it is for

Consumer and fintech apps that want a smart wallet plus a path to card funding, and are willing to treat those as two flows.

Sign-in, as documented

  • Email magic links and Gmail SSO
  • SMS
  • Social accounts, including X and Farcaster
  • Passkeys or device signers
  • External wallets
  • Your existing authentication provider

Wallet model

User-owned smart-contract wallets on Solana, a set of EVM chains, and Stellar. Gas can be sponsored and invoiced in fiat. A separate treasury wallet type is custodial and operated by the company, not the end user. Do not mix the two in a design critique.

Expected flow

These frames are labeled empty. The sequence is a reading of public docs, not a recording. Real captures replace the dashed boxes later. They will not be illustrated to look finished. NEXT_PUBLIC_CROSSMINT_CLIENT_KEY is not set. The staging project is named KYC Flows. Add that public client key locally and on Vercel, then run npm run capture again.

    01Auth entry

Either Crossmint’s auth UI or a headless form the app designed. We will capture the stock UI first.

NEXT_PUBLIC_CROSSMINT_CLIENT_KEY is not set. The staging project is named KYC Flows. Add that public client key locally and on Vercel, then run npm run capture again.

    02Method

Email, SMS, social, or an external wallet, depending on configuration. Passkey may be the signer rather than the first screen.

  3. No screenshot

    03Session

A code, a magic link, or an OAuth return. Session cookies are documented for server-rendered apps.

  4. No screenshot

    04Smart wallet

Docs say a wallet can be created when the user authenticates, or pregenerated before they arrive. We have not seen the user-facing difference.

  5. No screenshot

    05Funding, out of scope

Card, Apple Pay, and Google Pay sit on the onramp, not in the login. This frame stays pending, and a later capture will be labeled as onramp, not as KYC and not as login.

Metrics

Documented rows cite a public page. Pending rows wait for the first capture. A blank is not a zero.

The fifth screen is the onramp. It is listed so we do not pretend funding is part of sign-in.

Pricing snapshot

Wallet pricing is published separately from onramp and checkout fees. The headline wallet offer is a free monthly allowance, then a per-wallet overage. As of Oct 19, 2026, from crossmint.com/pricing.

Crossmint public pricing snapshot
PlanPriceWhat the page says
Wallets1,000 monthly active wallets freeOverages start at $0.025 per monthly active wallet.
CustomQuoted · from about $0.02 per MAWThe comparison table says custom wallet pricing starts at $0.02 per monthly active wallet, with volume discounts. Treat that as a floor they published, not a rate you have.
Developer gas sponsorshipUp to $50The public comparison table lists a gas-sponsorship cap on the developer column. Confirm the unit before you plan a launch on it.
Onramps and checkoutPer transactionNot part of the wallet login price. Out of scope for the captures on this page.
  • Advanced policy controls, managed recovery, and AML screening are marked as higher-tier or custom on the same page.
  • Crossmint’s fiat products can require identity checks. That does not make this a KYC review.

  • Company treasury wallets are custodial. They are a different screen from the embedded user wallet.

Change history

  1. Wallet-first notes open, with empty frames

Five wallet vendors and Didit are on the shelf, with six comparisons. Every screenshot frame says capture pending. Measured rows — steps, fields, time — are blank on purpose. Nothing here was timed.
